Strategy Analytics发布的最新研究报告指出,全球可折叠智能手机的出货量将从2019年的不足100万部增长到2025年的1亿部。三星,华为等厂商将引领市场。当下,高定价,显示屏生产良率较低和消费者对耐用性的置疑限制了可折叠手机市场的发展,但从长远来看,这些问题将得到解决。

3. 美国法官将批准第三、第四大电信运营商合并交易

 

美国联邦法官将批准美国第三、第四大无线运营商T-Mobile和Sprint(斯普林特)的合并,预计当地时间2月11日公布。据华尔街日报2月10日报道,该决定将让运营商在美国各州检察长面前取得胜利,此前检方辩称合并可能导致消费者的手机费用增加。知情人士透露,现在各方都已经收到了裁决的通知,目前尚不清楚该裁决是否会要求各方在联邦政府的协议基础上做出更多让步。

 

4. 小米向印度蓝领招聘平台 WorkIndia 投资590万美元。

 

据 KrAsia 报道,小米已向 WorkIndia 投资590万美元,该公司计划利用此笔资金来进一步改善其技术。据悉,WorkIndia 是针对印度蓝领市场的招聘平台,依靠算法为招聘者精准匹配职位。

 

5. 新加坡本土独角兽 Grab 每年可通过其广告业务部门 GrabAds 获得超过2.45亿美元的收入。

 

据 Tech in Asia 报道,Grab 的 GrabAds 业务包括应用内广告、车内广告和商家的营销活动,Grab 每年可以从该业务中获得超过2.45亿美元的广告收入。据悉,随着业务增长,到2025年,该公司每年的广告收入可能超过7亿美元。

 

6. IBM选择了Slack作为自己的企业团队交流、协作工具:覆盖整个企业的35万人

 

Slack周一股价盘中暴涨逾20%,截至收盘,该股涨15.44%,报26.54美元,股价创近5个月新高。此前报道称,IBM将所有35万名员工都转移到该工作聊天应用上,此举使IBM成为Slack历史上最大的单一客户。

 

但后来,Slack在美国证券交易委员会(SEC)提交了一份文件,其中包括IBM已经是其客户之一的事实。文件称:“IBM多年来一直是Slack的最大客户,并在此期间扩大了对Slack的使用。”这意味着IBM并不是一个新客户,35万员工的总数也不会全数体现在Slack的新用户增长上。

The California attorney general’s office has released the second draft of its implementation regulations for the California Consumer Privacy Act.

 

The updated regs, published late Friday, take into consideration feedback received during a 45-day comment period that ended in December. The AG is accepting comments on the amended proposed regulations until Feb. 25 (extended from Feb. 24).

 

2. 中东医疗平台Vezeeta筹集4000万美元D轮融资,由海湾资本领投

 

Vezeeta, a healthcare platform operating in the Middle East and Africa, has raised a $40 Million Series D funding round led by UAE-based Gulf Capital, alongside further investment from existing Riyadh-based investor Saudi Technology Ventures (STV), which previously led Vezeeta’s Series C round in September 2018. Vezeeta’s other investors include BECO Capital, Silicon Badia, Vostok New Ventures, Crescent Enterprises’ CE-Ventures and Endeavour Catalyst. Prior to this fund-raise, the company had raised $23M, so this latest news takes its total to $63M. Alvaro Abella, a director at Gulf Capital, joins the board.

Oxx, a relatively new European venture capital firm founded by Richard Anton and Mikael Johnsson, has raised $133 million to back “Europe’s most promising SaaS companies” at Series A and beyond.

 

Headquartered in London and Stockholm, the VC is pitching itself as a dedicated SaaS-focussed fund, and will invest broadly across software applications and infrastructure.

 

4. Facebook悄悄收购了另一家英国人工智能初创公司

 

Over the last few years, Facebook has been busy building out AI capabilities in areas like computer vision, natural language processing (NLP) and ‘deep learning,’ in part by acquiring promising startups in the space.

 

Understandably, this has seen the U.S. social networking giant look to the U.K. for AI talent, including an acqui-hire of NLP startup Bloosbury AI in 2018, and most recently, acquiring Scape Technologies, a British company using computer vision to offer more accurate location positioning for augmented reality.
